Privacy policy
The short version: we collect the minimum we need to run the waitlist and the service, the only cookies we set are two small ones that remember your currency and analytics ones you have to opt into, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Breadshift is operated by Voll Studios Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09302803, registered office 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG). Voll Studios Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@breadshift.com.
What we collect
Beta waitlist. When you join the waitlist we collect your email address, your role, and anything you choose to add in the optional production type and notes fields. We use this to send you a confirmation, to contact you when a beta slot opens, and to understand who is asking for the product. Nothing else. We do not add you to a marketing list and we do not share or sell the list.
Sign-in emails. If you have a beta account, we use your email address to send you sign-in and invitation links. These are transactional emails, not marketing.
Account data. If a production invites you into the app, we store the profile, availability, and timecard data you and your production enter, so the product can do its job. That data belongs to the production and to you; we do not sell it or use it for advertising.
Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which are cookieless and do not track you across sites. They give us aggregate page counts and performance numbers, not a profile of you. They run for every visitor because they set nothing on your device.
Google Analytics. We also use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages and referrers bring people here. It sets cookies, so it stays switched off until you accept it on the banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no Google Analytics cookies are set and no data is sent. We have advertising features, ad personalisation and Google Signals switched off, so your data is not used to target advertising.
Currency. So the pricing page shows a price you can actually read, we set two small cookies. One records the two-letter country our host reports for your connection, which we use only to pick between pounds, euros and dollars. The other records the currency you pick yourself, and it overrides the first one. Neither is used to identify you, neither is shared with anyone, and both expire on their own. We do not do any other IP lookup.
The live demo. The demo at breadshift.com/demo runs in your browser with sample data. Nothing you do in the demo is tied to your identity.
Legal basis
We process waitlist data on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete your entry. We process account and sign-in data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for. We process cookieless aggregate analytics on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site fast and working. Google Analytics runs only on the basis of the consent you give on the banner, and you can withdraw it below at any time.
Who processes data for us
The site and app are hosted on Vercel. Transactional email is delivered through our email provider. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Ireland Limited processes your usage data as our analytics provider, which can involve transfers outside the UK under Google's standard contractual clauses. These providers process data on our instructions and do not use it for their own advertising.
Retention
Waitlist entries are kept until you get access, ask to be removed, or the beta programme ends, whichever comes first. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request when you leave.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to or restrict our processing of it. Email hello@breadshift.com and we will act on it promptly. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and, where appropriate, email the people it affects. The date below reflects the latest revision.
Your cookie choice
You can change your mind at any time. Resetting brings the banner back so you can choose again.
