Terms of service

The short version: plans are monthly per production, cancel any time, and Breadshift prepares payroll data rather than running payroll. Be sensible, and your data stays yours.

Who you are dealing with

Breadshift is a product of Voll Studios Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 09302803, registered office 5 Brayford Square, London, E1 0SG). These terms are an agreement between you and Voll Studios Ltd. Questions go to hello@breadshift.com.

The service, today

Breadshift is in beta. It helps productions find available crew, log hours, and export timecard data for their payroll provider. Breadshift is not a payroll provider, does not move money, and does not give legal, tax, or employment advice. The numbers it produces are inputs for your payroll process, and checking them stays your responsibility.

The public demo runs in your browser on sample data and is provided for evaluation only.

Early access, pricing and availability

Breadshift is early software and is offered as is. We work hard to keep it fast and correct, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and features may change, break, or be removed as we learn.

Paid plans are billed monthly per active production, in pounds, euros or dollars, plus VAT or sales tax where it applies. Prices are fixed per currency rather than converted at the time of billing, so the figure shown when you sign up is the figure on your invoice. You can cancel at any time and billing for a production stops when it wraps. Founding rates are held for twelve months from the date you start.

If we change a price we will give thirty days notice by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel in that window. If we ever withdraw the service we will tell the people using it first and give you a way to export your data.

Your account and conduct

Keep your sign-in email secure; magic links sent to it are how you access your account. You agree not to misuse the service: no attempts to break or probe it, no scraping other people’s data, no using it to send spam, and no uploading content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share.

Crew profiles belong to the crew member. Production records belong to the production. You may take your own data with you when you leave.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Voll Studios Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including payroll errors that a reasonable review of the exported data would have caught. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Privacy

How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the product moves from beta towards launch. Material changes will be announced to active users by email. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
